Flip the Script
Islamophobia Awareness Month Exhibition
10 Nov to 31 Nov, Mon to Fri, 12pm to 5pm
In the midst of all the negative press about Muslims and Islam, we celebrate the contributions made by Muslims, locally and nationally.
Do you have a positive story to tell? Send it to us online and we’ll print and display, or bring it in to add it to the exhibition.
Join us at our official Exhibition Opening on Mon 24 Nov, 12pm to 2pm, when we also launch ‘Building Bridges through Culture & Conversation’, a series of events that celebrate Muslim cultures and contributions and that also consider the impact of Islamophobia on many members of our community.

Building Bridges Through Culture & Conversation: Active Allies discussion on Islamophobia
Wed 26 Nov, 3pm to 5pm
This month’s Active Allies will focus on Islamophobia. Hate crimes targeting Muslims have almost doubled since 2023. With the increasing weaponisation of religious identities, the promotion of Ethno-Christianity by the far right, and online campaign spreading disinformation and misinformation, we need to ‘Flip the Script’ now more than ever.
Join us for an open discussion of the issues, with tea and cake!

Building Bridges Through Culture & Conversation: Cooking Workshop and Tasting Session!
If you’ve ever eaten with us at The Other Place, you will certainly have enjoyed vegetarian and vegan food cooked by one of our Muslim Chefs. This is a great opportunity to learn to cook some of their signature dishes.
The cooking workshop will run from 2pm to 4pm (booking essential) and we hope you can join us to taste the results from 4pm to 5pm!
