Black History Month 23

Celebrating our Sisters, Saluting our Sisters, and Honouring Matriarchs of Movements #WEMATTER
The year’s theme highlights the crucial role that black women have played in shaping history, inspiring change, and building communities and there’s plenty of inspiration for activities and events on the offical BHM website.

Join us to help plan BHM 23. All ideas welcome. Meetings will include a shared meal and we’ll publicise all activities on the North Somerset BHM website.

BMH Planning meetings

November is Islamophobia Awareness Month and this is the theme of our main exhibition this month.

We share the vision to see our communities free from Islamophobia in all of its forms and RENS is supporting this campaign with a number of activities.

Join us and support this important campaign.

As the home of RENS we promote Race Equality Week (REW) events that can be attended here. ‘Get Ready for REW2023 (6-12 Feb, 2023)’ is a virtual meeting with the organisers (Race Equality Matters) and we will be streaming this event at The Other Place. Feel free to come and join us as we watch together, or watch from wherever you are.
